For three generations, the Kinskie family has owned and operated Puget Sound Shoreline – bulkhead specialists. We conduct business professionally, honestly, and with consistent communication.
Our Whidbey Island team is committed to serving the needs of the customer while preserving and enhancing the natural wildlife and habitat. Work on the marine shoreline includes new or replacement bulkheads, soft shore design & build, and log complexity placement. Puget Sound Shoreline works closely with the permitting agencies to develop a scope of work that will meet approval criteria and be tailored to the needs of our clients. A LETTER FROM THE OWNER
My name is Ray Kinskie and I have lived on Whidbey Island for my entire existence of 54 years. Let me tell you a little about myself…
I am a 3rd generation seawall builder. I was taught from my father who built most of the bulkheads on Whidbey Island between 1960 and 1995. He was taught from my grandfather. My grandfather built seawalls in the tide flats and shot a water cannon from the banks and built lots and entire communities with a seawall built in. You should ask my wife or I about it. It’s pretty fascinating. So most of the concrete, rock and log bulkheads you see around, are related to me in some way or another.
I am married to Julie Kinskie who is also a 40 year native to Whidbey Island. Together we have 4 children, starting at the ages of 20, her name is Shannon, 2, 18 year olds, Cameron and Nadine and the next generation of seawall builders is our 14 year old son, Ryder. “Yes we are going to have a 4th generation seawall builder.”
We specialize in concrete, log, rock and soft shore. We take pride in my families legacy and my work. It is my life. My 14 year old will have the next go around.
Our clients become part of our family. Any giving day, Julie has set up a lunch or dinner date with one our clients that are now our friends, or we are going to nice BBQ on the beach celebrating the 4th of July sitting on a seawall we just built.
